BMW recently introduced an all-new vehicle to its lineup: the 2020 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. You may be wondering, when will the new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe be released? 2020 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe engines and performance
Luxury doesn’t just mean cushy seats; it also means having a peppy engine under the hood to make for a confident drive every time. The 2020 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, which will be offered in 228i xDrive Gran Coupe and M235i xDrive Gran Coupe models, will have different engines for each variation. The 228i xDrive version will be equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder iteration of the brand’s “B” modular engine family, which will produce 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The M235i xDrive model will be powered by a tuned-up version of the same engine that will create 301 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque.
Exterior and interior
The exterior will have typical sleek BMW styling, with a low and sporty four-door coupe design with frameless windows and a broad stance. Standard full-LED headlights will have a wrap-around look and include daytime running lights, and the roofline will flow in such a way as to create an upswept rear trunk. That roof can include an optional panoramic sunroof if you’re so inclined, and that even includes a ventilation mode to let just a little extra air inside.
The interior is a mixture of sport and upper class, with a design aimed at the driver experience for both excitement and comfort. Standard backlit interior trim and contrast seams on the dashboard will give the car an added dash of craftsmanship. The 8.8-inch high-resolution Control Display offers information and insight conveniently above the center console. BMW Live Cockpit Professional featuring iDrive 7 is an optional feature that will upgrade everything to a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch Control Display which forms one massive display that is configurable by drivers.
